March

20th March

Dear Diary,

I am so fed up with Geraan's snootiness, he has been unbearable, ever since Milly, the daughter of the new Mayor, started flirting with him. HA, just imagine what she would think if she found out about that incident with the serving wench.

I've decided to teach them all a lesson by running away and becoming an Adventurer just like Drucilla did.

22nd March

Dear Diary,

I came across a bunch of Adventurers today. They have been playing in an old RuinedMoathouse. They needed my skills to open a door in a pillar they found. The door wasn't very exciting. There were some stairs with some bones down the bottom. They were all too scared to go any further down there.

We then found a couple of other secret doors with a whole bunch of stuff behind them and it just seemed to take forever organising just how were going to get it all out of the place. So much so that we ended up being attacked by some giant rats. Smelly things those giant rats, kinda reminded me of Geraan after he's spent too much time with his horse. But YAY! I killed one of them. Go me!!

Back at town everyone is staying at the InnOfTheWelcomeWench so we all sort of hung around there for the rest of the day. I'm in my room now, it's not too bad, but there's a silly bird in the room next door that keeps going "tweet tweet" "tweet tweet" Hopefully it will go to sleep soon or I will have to sneak it and let it out of it's cage or something.

23rd March

Dear Diary,

I've gotten to know my new friends a bit better today. We all went off back to the RuinedMoathouse again and we decided to explore the basement a bit. For some reason whoever built this place put in a portcullis down there. I swear, some builders are just crazy. Also, of course, a whole bunch of doors were trapped which made the portcullis fall down. But HA, we showed those crazy builders, we found the opening mechanismy thingy, so nyer nyer to them.

From the looks of things there's even more rooms down below the basement, we went down for a little bit but ran into some Ghouls, very reminiscent of Milly. Was a good thing Alex was with us, made the Ghouls all scared like and they ran away, just like Milly would. Paul had to get all Pyro on us and attacked them with his lil explosive thingies, not only did he kill all of them but he went and burnt himself as well. Typical silly boy. Unfortunately, Raju and Tamas got paralysed by the Ghouls, that was kinda creepy.

We then had to sit around and wait for the fire to go out, yawn'o'rama. We headed down some more and found yet another pile of bones, figured there might be some stuff stashed away in it so me and Zac searched it for a bit. The one of the silly Ghouls tried to sneak up on us and after we got our loot we decided to collapse the tunnel on the silly thing. That'll teach it.

Back at the Inn again, wasn't able to sneak into that room with the bird last night so it's still "tweet tweet"ing away. Maybe I should move rooms or something. Too tired to deal with it now though.

31st March

Dear Diary,

Have had a few days of rest at the Inn. I did indeed end up having to change rooms, damn annoying bird thing. Why couldn't they have a useful pet like a cat or a wolf or something. Or even a hawk instead of a silly little tweety bird. However, I am now in a room between two other half-orcs, and boy are they a noisy pair. I have no luck I tell you.

I'd gotten a tad bored with sitting around so went along when a bunch of others decided to head back down to the RuinedMoathouse. We went straight downstairs when we got there, and wouldn't you know it, the Zombies were back. We showed them though, they were no match for our elite Adventurer skills. During our little rest break after our display of skills, Ilona had the temerity to set the damn tweety bird free, the last thing you want flying around in a enclosed area is one of those damn tweety birds. They poop everywhere and everyone knows bird poop is hellishly bad when it lands on Armour. They also draw unwanted attention to your group, the last thing you need while taking a rest is unwanted attention. Whilst arguing amongst ourselves we managed to dispatch some more Zombies and some Gnolls. Eventually we managed to re-cage the bird and headed off to the Cell area.

While we were re-exploring the area, we came across a door we couldn't open so we decided to spike it closed, and of course while we were doing so it opened. Wouldn't you know it, we then came across some Guards. Guards!! Can you believe it. Obviously they must be guarding something. The Guards went and did the Guard thing of calling for back-up, just what we needed, but we managed to deal with them just as the back-up turned up. Hallas bore he brunt of the attack surprising well and came out of it without a scratch. While we were dealing with this new riff raff, wouldn't you know it, even more turn up but this time they bought a friend with them. It tuned out to be a rather evil clerical type person.

Morrolan proved once again what a pyromaniac he is with his Molotov cocktails, while the Cleric managed to put 'Holds' on both Hallas and Grugg. Quite the fray indeed. Meanwhile while I'm busy attacking the Guards Lieutenant, he manages to damage poor Alex quite severely. After the fight to and fro'd for a bit more, the Cleric must have realised we were not just going to give up and called for us to surrender, which of course we wouldn't have a bar of. It took us actually injuring him for him to call for Parley, which, being the good natured people we are, we took and we good naturedly agreed to retrieve out fallen, which at this point was the majority of our party. While Ilona was fetching Hallas, the traitorous Lieutenant attacked which almost led to a resuming of the fray, however the Cleric called him off while trying to persuade us to 'Not Come Back' Grugg being Grugg of course flatly refused, so the Cleric just knocked him out cold as an example of 'His Power' ooooooohhhh, although I did notice that most of the remainder of us managed to get away with not making any promises, HA where does an Evil Cleric get off trying to make people make promises against their nature. We did decide to leave at that point, seeing as Hallas, Alex, Ben, and Grugg were down for the count. It was going to be hard enough bringing 'them' back to town without more of us becoming incapacitated.

April

1st April

Dear Diary,

After all the fracas of yesterday, being approached by a merchant needing some guards seemed to light up the eyes of some of these fellows. Must admit, haven't been to Nulb before so it might be nice to get some sightseeing in.

It seemed to taked WAY too much wrangling to get going, all that fuss over payment agreements, talk about your paranoid merchants. Mind you, we were ambushed in the Gnarley Forest on the way, but thanks to Morrolan's Sleep spelling skills we managed to capture the leader of the gang and defeat his followers. It was pretty uneventful the remainder of the trip.

Nulb itself was not much speak of. Seems to be rather a few shady characters hanging about. It would appear that Toric our merchant had some enemies and was killed right in front of us, all that effort to get to Nulb and then Toric gets himself assasinated. Thankfully Alex managed to get him to sign our payment note.

We attempted a vague chase, well I hung out with Alex while the others gave a vague chase after the villian but we were unsuccessfull, he seemed to just dissappear.

This all took enough time that we have decided to spend the night. Hoepfully a few things will come to light in the morning.

2nd April

Dear Diary,

According to Skole, the owner of the Boatmen's tavern and market where we spent the night, the assasin fellow is the leader of the Nalag Bandits and the have a camp not too far out of town. So of course we've decided to check them out.

I must say, they weren't much of a gang, we defeted them without much effort and were rewarded for them but there was no sign of the assasin. We're beginning to think that infomation we had been given might have not been as accurate as we were hoping. As benevolent as we are, we decided to release the majority of the bandits with some money as we weren't in the mood to drag them, as well as 3000 pieces of copper all back to Nulb with us.

The trip back to Hommlet was uneventful. However, when we went to get our payment, they note had gone blank, damn spellcasterey merchants, you can't trust them as far as you can throw them. Though would this mean that these half-orc guys are very trustful, they could probably throw merchants quite a distance.

3rd April

Dear Diary,

A few new people arrived in town today. A girl and a guy. The guy seems to have lost a sister and has come for her stuff. He seems heaps nicer than Geraan, that's for sure, I bet he hasn't even noticed I'm gone.

I don't think he's spotted me following him around yet, he hasn't tried to run away from me like Geraan would have. This is heaps more fun that just hanging around the Inn.

4th April

Dear Diary,

I got bored following Griph around, he just ignored me, how not fun is that! Decided follow some burny footprints to the RuinedMoathouse with some of the others. The frogs are still hanging out in the pond, and we found some more centipedes, although there were a few more of them there than usual coz the big spider isn't there to eat them up.

We found a room with these birdy batty mosquito thingies in it. It just happened to be the room that the burny footprints went into. Just our luck. They were a lot smaller than I thought once we started fighting them and after a lot of running around and playing with opening and shutting doors we managed to get rid of them all. I don't thin the burny footprint person was quite so lucky, they ended up as some remains at the bottom of a burnt up crater in the middle of the room. There was an evil HUGE ruby in their hand so I think it might have had something to do with it, not going anywhere near that thing. He had some pretty jewelery too though we're going to take it all back to Hommlet with us.

The guy that had told us to not come back isn't here anymore, so I don't know why he bothered with trying to make US promise not to come back ourselves. It seems he ran away with a bunch of others so we might be following their tracks tomorrow.
