Morning
Got up before the enthusiastic cleric this morning. I heard him cajoling the others to arise as I ate my breakfast. Garadull appears to be in great spirits this morning. No idea why. It's a nice sunny day, one to be out enjoying the sunshine. To bad we're probably going to spend most of it poking through the dusty cellars at the moathouse looking for fleas or something.
It appears that Glugg won't be coming with us today, as his disease is making him unable to leave the latrines. I'm sure that if we were to ever encounter any real threats we'd miss his sword, but since I'm expecting to find dust and maybe a spider or two in these cellars I don't think it'll be too tragic.
An elf has asked if they can join us for the trip. He makes me feel a little uneasy but I can't figure why. Fortunately he's happy to hang around out the front to act as frog bait (poor Paul) so I'll get a few miles to gain a better opinion of him.
Later
Oh.
Garadull just evaporated.
I always thought that Orcs had red blood. Surely they do? I'm sure I saw Garadull looking extremely green before he evaporated. Mind you, someone - Dronpa? - set Garadull on fire, so maybe it was an Orcish tiff or something. I didn't know that Orcs were flamable...
I have to admit I'm sorry to see him go. Much as he gave me the irrits.
Later still
Zombies. Ogres. Trapped gnomes and humans. I'd never have believed that this cellar would be populated with anything but rats, spiders and the like. The elf died while trying to sneak up behind the ogre while carrying a lantern. Quite a bizarre action if you ask me.
We've promised to take the ex-prisoners back to Hommlet. They appear terrified of Ogg and Dronpa but happy enough to walk with Tamas and myself. None of them actually want to carry on a conversation though. Maybe they're just too overwhelmed.
Evening
Well the gnome and merchants have headed off. We've been promised a reward sometime in the future and given an iron ring. The gnome begged us to visit his cousin's abode because he was concerned that it had been overrun by gnolls and hobgoblins. He didn't want to come and help though, so I don't think he cares overly much about it.
The party is rather somber today after losing two of our members. The Inn staff also mourn Garadull's passing as it would appear that they've quite appreciated his enjoyment of their food. They're not too sad about having another free room however, as a new ranger arrived today and they weren't sure where they'd house him. I haven't met this ranger yet, but with Tamas this will make a merry three of us.
With the loot we found with the ogre today we were able to pay the priest to cure Glugg. He still looks terrible however I'm told that he'll be full of vim and vigor and ready to join us tomorrow morning after a good night's sleep.
He was extremely distressed to hear of Garadull's passing. I hope he recovers from the shock.
