Gara Duhl, Holy Warrior of the Orcs
Character Profile
Gara Duhl, half-orcish paladin, stands at well over six feet tall, and is impressively muscled from head to toe. His skin is the greyish-green of a mountain orc, but he sports thick black facial hair and an impressive mane of thick black hair, which he keeps tied back in a tail at all times, legacies of his human blood.
Despite his disciplined upbringing, Gara Duhl has seen on seventeen summers and in some ways is little more than a child. He has seen very little of the wide world outside his tribe, and regards nearly everything with childlike wonder. This naive joy in new experience extends to physical sensations: specifically, he loves food, and has surprisingly sophisticated tastes, enjoying a very wide range of cuisine and taking great pleasure from trying new flavours.
He loves animals of all kinds, and is always extremely kind to all living things (sometimes to a fault - when he has steeds and pets, they tend to be spoiled).
While he is strictly lawful in nature, he abhors the misuse of authority; bullies, tyrants, and those cruel to animals are targets of his wrath. He believes strongly in law and order, but has a merciful nature, especially toward those pressed into wicked actions by overbearing superiors and those expressing sincere remorse for their misdeeds.
This young and serious half-orc can seem arrogant and insensitive to those who do not know him, but his quiet exterior hides an intelligent and introspective mind. Gara Duhl is shy and slow to make friends (except in the case of animals, all of which he tends to love immediately) but once he has made a friend he would sooner die than betray their trust. He is a good friend to have, and an even worse enemy: his own loyal nature makes him particularly intolerant of betrayal, and his patient, disciplined mind makes him a cunning adversary.
